The team brought home eight golds, three silvers and four bronzes, with success in multiple divisions.

The young pair of Jose Carberry and Ella Govan competed in the World Taekwondo Freestyle Self-Defence division, securing gold and a standing ovation from the spectators for their execution of their dynamic skills.

Master head instructors Brian and Heather Carr competed in the World Taekwondo format, among competitors who hold multiple world champion titles.

Both achieved a bronze medal in these divisions, which requires a higher level of expertise and training.

Noor Baharum secured gold in her division and Staci Jones also attended in her capacity as a judge for the event.

The tournament was also the selection event for the upcoming Australian Taekwondo National Championships to be held in Adelaide in October.

The team of five all achieved selection and are now in training for the Adelaide event, which will be attended by Taekwondo competitors from all over Australia.
