Pyrenees upgrade local netball courts
The Pyrenees Shire Council has completed, or is nearing completion, on six netball and tennis court upgrades as part of a $140,000 project.

Courts at Beaufort, Lexton and Waubra (north and south) are completed, with Amphitheatre and Natte Yallock expected to be completed by June 30.
Following a hard-court audit in 2023, council allocated funds from the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program (LRCIP) budget to implement some of the recommendations. Works include cleaning, repairs and repainting.
Pyrenees Shire CEO Jim Nolan said it is important to maintain the shire’s community infrastructure to a high standard.
“These netball and tennis courts are used all year round by our sporting groups, and allocation of funds is needed ongoing so they can be kept in excellent condition,” he said.
“Council will continue to seek government funding for other upgrades to the various courts and facilities that were also identified in the hardcourt audit.”
