Natte Bealiba outfit too strong for home side Dunolly
A powerful second half resurgence from Natte Bealiba saw them secure a 67-point win over Dunolly on Saturday.
It was a slow starting match at the Deledio Reserve on the weekend and while the Swans remained in the lead up to the main break, Dunolly only ever trailed by less than three goals.
Inaccuracy in the forward 50 was Dunolly’s Achilles heel in the first half, kicking eight behinds to their lonesome goal and while the Swans had less opportunities, they kicked true to score 4.6 to round out the half.
It was in the third quarter that the Swans bared it all, more than doubling their score out to 75 points after kicking seven goals and three behinds while holding Dunolly to just one of each.
It was a fast-paced final quarter for both teams in the end and while Dunolly played their best quarter by scores with an added five goals and three behinds, Natte also floored it.
The forward prowess of Emmet Smith and Jayden Templeton for the Swans shone, slotting another seven goals to bring their final score to 121 at the final siren.
Dunolly’s Lloyd Needs proved to be the Eagles’ main avenue to goal with five, earning him a spot in the best alongside Lachlan Tranter, Mitchell Goodwin, Lachlan Watson, Joel Fisher and Adal Zuk.
Brady Templeton played an electric game for the Swans to be named in the best, alongside lead scorers Smith and Jayden Templeton, Toby Beavis, Austin Mckenzie and Trent Mortlock.
