With only a handful of home and away matches remaining, every win becomes increasingly important, and the Giants will be eager to build on last week’s encouraging 31-point victory over Dunolly.

While the final margin suggested a comfortable result, the Giants had to work hard for the four points. A dominant third quarter ultimately proved the difference as Zayne Earl starred in an impressive all-round team performance.

Jack Broad controlled the defence superbly, while Rhys Wagstaff, Cody Wright, Jayden Humphrey, and Kaylab Eggers all played key roles in securing an important victory.

Lexton enters the contest following a disappointing 118-point loss to Newstead. The Tigers were competitive throughout the first half before being overwhelmed after the main break as the Steaders piled on 14 goals across the third and fourth quarters.

Despite the heavy defeat, there were still positives for Lexton. Josh Carey was outstanding and earned best-on-ground honours for the Tigers, while Billy Briody, Tynan Haintz, Justin Kennedy, Luke Madden, and Henry Marshman all battled hard under relentless pressure.

At either end of the ground, there are several intriguing match-ups. The Giants’ defence has continued to improve throughout the season and will be keen to limit the influence of Lexton’s dangerous forward Jaxon Thomas. At the other end, Karson Guareschi and Atticus Cullinan will be looking to capitalise on every opportunity inside 50.
