Information sought following fatal collision
Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision between a car and bicycle in Maryborough on May 28.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision between a car and bicycle in Maryborough on the afternoon of Thursday, May 28.
Emergency services were called to the collision on Timor Road at about 4.30 pm.
The cyclist, a 67-year-old Mary-borough man, was treated at the scene but later died.
The driver of the car, a 20-year-old woman also from Maryborough, stopped at the scene. Detectives interviewed the driver, who has since been released pending further investigation.
Investigators wish to speak to anyone who travelled along Timor Road at about 4.20 pm that afternoon who witnessed the cyclist or collision.

This brings the total number of deaths on Victorian roads this year to 105, 19.2 percent lower than the same time last year.
This also brings the number of road fatalities in the Central Goldfields this year to four.
