2026 MCDFNL Netball Round 7 Preview — Carisbrook v Campbells Creek
With three of the four teams ahead of them in the standings set to play someone currently inside the finals spots, Carisbrook hopes to leapfrog itself into the top four with a strong showing against Campbells Creek.
It may have been a harder assignment than originally expected, but the Redbacks’ 17-goal victory over Harcourt keeps them within touching distance of old rivals Avoca and Natte Bealiba.
While they possess immense star power with 2025 MCDFNL Team of the Year members Katie Bilton, Laura Hurse and Jordan McClure, Carisbrook’s wealth of reliable depth has been just as pivotal in them remaining in the competition’s upper echelon.
Alongside their stacked B grade squad, who have started their premiership defence undefeated, the likes of Lauren Jones, Chloe Egan and Charlotte Cain can be counted on to play a reliable role when called upon.
With Talbot, Dunolly, Lexton, Avoca and Navarre in their next five fixtures, Carisbrook would like to enter that critical gauntlet with a convincing victory over Campbells Creek.
The Magpies will be determined not to make it easy for the Redbacks as they hope to improve from their convincing defeat to Navarre.
Offensive consistency will be a focal point for Campbells Creek this weekend after being held to a measly four goals in the second and third quarters.
Despite those disappointing terms, Campbells Creek continued fighting and was rewarded in the fourth quarter, with Molly Kennedy, Reagan Fulford and Taylah Sartori slowing down the Grasshoppers’ rampant attack in the closing stages.
